Pulmonary Fibrosis is a lung disease that can be caused and worsened by several factors, including wildfire smoke. The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (CPFF) is doing their 2nd annual walk this Saturday to support patients and their families, and to raise money.
Sharon Lee is the President of CPFF and says when there’s wildfire, it compromises the immune system and makes it much more difficult to breathe.
Saskatoon’s 2nd annual Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis is August 9th at 10 a.m. at the Kiwanis Memorial Park, and money raised is going to support their campaign to advocate for a new drug that they say should be covered for patients. The fundraising goal this year is about $250,000.
