Saskatoon RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying the semi trailer unit and its driver who did not remain at the scene of a collision with another semi trailer unit Thursday afternoon on Highway 16 near Viscount.
According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, the Saskatoon detachment received a call about the collision at around 1:45 p.m. on July 31. Investigation determined that each semi was traveling in opposite directions on Highway 16. The driver of the eastbound semi reported non-life threatening injuries to officers. Both drivers were the lone occupants of their vehicles. The RCMP say the hit-and-run semi will have sustained damage and ask that anyone with information that may assist in the investigation should contact the Saskatoon detachment or Crime Stoppers.
