Beginning July 27, 2025, and lasting until Wednesday, the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is hosting the Midwestern Legislative Conference in Saskatoon.
The event will see lawmakers from 11 states and four provinces gather for four days of learning, collaboration and relationship building. The four provinces involved include Saskatchewan Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.
Minister Lori Carr says, “This an opportunity to strengthen our ties as neighbors and build partnerships that benefit our communities and constituents on both sides of the border.”
Most sessions are taking place at TCU Place in downtown Saskatoon, where the Right Honourable Stephen J. Harper, Canada’s 22nd prime minister, will lead a keynote conversation on the relationship.
This will be followed up by a panel discussion on cross-border trade.
