A Saskatoon man walked away from Stop N Go Convenience on Wedge Road $1 million richer on Tuesday.
Cory Nickason was preparing for a camping trip with his family when he decided to check his LOTTO MAX ticket.
After counting all the zeros, Nickason got a fist bump from the guy behind him in line, and he ran to his truck to tell his wife.
He explains that “She couldn’t even read it because I was shaking so bad!”
Nickason said their camping plans still went ahead the next day, but he slept in jeans that night, with his winning ticket in his wallet in the pocket.
With the winnings, he plans to pay off his mortgage, buy a truck, and look into buying a cabin.
