For the first time in over a decade, a National Swimming event is being held in the Bridge City. The 2025 Speedo Canadian Masters Championships held their opening ceremonies earlier this morning at the Shaw Centre. The first event was the 800m Men and Women’s Freestyle, and like all events throughout the weekend, they will feature competitors of many ages. There are over 500 athletes from all across the country, including some international. The 2025 Speedo Canadian Masters Championships continue today and run through until Sunday.
