The City’s Compost Depot is set to open Monday in time for spring clean-up.
Residents can drop off excess yard waste, including leaves, grass, sod, topsoil, garden refuse, non-elm branches, stumps and tree trimmings, at no cost. The City says it helps keep yard waste out of the Landfill.
It also produces high-quality, nutrient-rich compost and mulch used in Saskatoon’s parks and community gardens. Which means city residents can take advantage of the Dig-Your-Own program at the Compost Depot, located at Highway 7 and 11th Street. Residents can self-load up to 1 cubic yard of compost and mulch at no cost, while supplies last.
