Environment Canada reports mean temperatures were between one and three degrees above normal in the southern half of the province and close to normal in the northern half.
Saskatoon’s monthly mean was 1.7 degrees above normal making it the 38th warmest October in the last 126 years. There were only 8 days where the mean temperature was below normal. (The charts below were provided by Danielle Desjardin, Environment and Climate Change Canada)

The lack of active weather meant it was very dry in October with most centres receiving less than one-third of normal precipitation. It was the second driest October on record in North Battleford which only had 1.1 millimetres of precipitation—or just seven percent of normal.
