Saskatoon Police say their officers responded to a weapons call at the Circle Centre Mall on Wednesday after mall security reported that they had been threatened by a man with a knife.
Police located a man matching the suspect description on a nearby city bus. As officers were taking the individual into custody, the suspect allegedly kicked a Constable several times.
Police searched the man and say they found a folded knife on his person.
A 37-year-old man has been charged with unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon to commit an offence, two counts of assault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer, and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
