Saskatchewan tops the provinces in retail trade with a year over year increase of 6.3 per cent from July of last year to this year, reaching $2.2 billion. That’s according to a report from Statistics Canada highlighted by the provincial government. If you include the territories in the mix though, Nunavut had the largest increase at 11 per cent, followed by the Northwest Territories with a seven per cent increase, and then Saskatchewan in third at 6.3 per cent. Nationally, retail sales increased 0.9% to $66.4 billion in July.
