Prince Albert RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover shortly before 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. The accident happened on Whitfield Road, in the RM of Buckland and a woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. She has been identified as a 32-year-old from Pelican Narrows. The woman driving and another passenger, a man, were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature. Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
Then, Indian Head RCMP responded to a crash Monday morning on the Trans-Canada Highway that claimed the life of one man. RCMP were called out at 7:40 a.m. after a semi hit a second tractor-trailer-unit parked on the shoulder of the highway near Wolsley. There was no one in the parked semi, but there were two people in the other semi and the passenger was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 35-year-old man from Calgary. The man driving was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Indian Head RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
