This morning at 5:00am, the Saskatoon Fire Department was called to a home in the 100 block of Avenue Q South.

Upon arrival, crews say they observed smoke coming from rear of the house.

Firefighters used multiple hoses to apply water from outside the building, and the blaze has since been completely extinguished.

A fire investigator is now on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
