Eight people have been charged in Regina with forcible confinement and assault in connection with an incident that occurred prior to a police officer being accidentally shot by a fellow officer.
The eight people range in age from 18 to 57. Regina Police says an injured man was found in the area of 4th Avenue and Robinson Street last Thursday. He was taken to hospital and eventually released.
Police obtained a search warrant for the following day and that is when the accidental shooting occurred. These people were arrested and charged:
Fifty-seven year-old Donald Dwayne DELORME, 47 year-old Terrina Lynn PELLETIER, 35 year-old Krissie Elizabeth BIRD, 35 year-old Samuel Tyson WESAQUATE, 34 year-old Janelle Amber DELORME, 29 year-old Andrew Charles HERASWYMIUK, 18 year-old Elizabeth MCNABB, and 18 year-old Ella Gayle NAGY, all of Regina, are jointly charged with:
- Forcible Confinement [CC 279(2)]; and
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)].
HERASYMUIK is also charged with:
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)].
