Saskatoon Police Service says officers were called to the 200 block of Avenue H South late yesterday afternoon over a fight between two men.
The call came in on Tuesday around 5 p.m. and as further updates came in police learned the two individuals had left the area however arriving officers located one man in the 900 block of 22nd Street West.
But shortly after, the 25-year-old suspect turned himself into police who were helping the victim. The suspect also revealed the two weapons he had before he was taken into custody. The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of possessing a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.
A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries but has since stabilized.
