Update: Spiritwood RCMP reports that a man wanted for violating his release conditions, including tampering with his GPS electronic monitoring device has been located. Thirty-four-year-old Nathaniel Sakebow of Edmonton was arrested last July, charged with manslaughter in connection to a homicide on Witchekan Lake First Nation. RCMP say that is where he was found and arrested.
He is scheduled to appear in court in North Battleford on Thursday. The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team assisted in this arrest.

Thirty-three-year-old Nathaniel Sakebow was arrested and charged with one count of Manslaughter on July 15, 2023, in connection to a homicide on the Witchekan Lake First Nation. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Spiritwood RCMP detachment is actively working to locate and arrest him. Nathaniel Sakebow is described as 5’7″ and approximately 220 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair.
Nathaniel Sakebow is known to travel to Pelican Lake First Nation and Witchekan Lake First Nation, but his current whereabouts are unknown. If you see Nathaniel Sakebow, do not approach him. Report sightings or information to your local police jurisdiction or Crime Stoppers.
