A suspect wanted by the Regina Police Service on a first degree murder charge is one of the “Bolo Program’s” updated Top 25 most wanted fugitives list released Tuesday.
Thirty-one-year-old Daniel “Juma” Drie Atem is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection to a fatal shooting of a 32-year-old male that occurred on July 29th of last year in the 2100 block of Broad Street in Regina. Atem is listed as 14th on the Bolo Program list and has ties to a number of the western provinces. A second suspect in the case, 25-year-old Shedrek Samuel, turned himself into police in British Columbia in late February of this year. The hope is the Bolo Program will bring national attention to wanted suspects across Canada through various methods such as large rewards and media campaigns for all of the Top 25 most wanted.
