The Saskatchewan RCMP is reminding drivers to make sure vehicles are well-maintained and safe to operate. This comes after an officer from the Prince Albert Combined Traffic Services conducted a traffic stop in the Ahtahkakoop/Shellbrook RCMP detachment area last Wednesday afternoon, and noticed the vehicle had no steering wheel. In its place, the driver was using vise grips to guide the vehicle.
RCMP report that it was also determined the driver had no license. He was ticketed and given a notice to have the vehicle inspected for safety.
