The orange scooters you might have spotted around Saskatoon last year have returned to the streets as of today.
The scooter can be found in several districts and neighborhoods including Downtown, River Landing, Broadway, and Rotary Park.
Since their arrival in May of last year, Neuron’s e-scooters have collectively traveled 280,000 kilometers. Fifty-four per cent of all trips have replaced the need to travel in a car, and this has saved an estimated 24 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Another interesting statistic: last year, six out of 10 e-scooter trips resulted in a purchase at a local business, with an estimated local economic impact of $7.3 million.
Single trips cost $1.15 to unlock the e-scooter and $0.39 per minute thereafter.
