Registration for courses through the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre is now open for the 2024-25 school year.
Minister of Education Jeremy Cockrill says Sask DLC has seen tremendous growth since the school year began in September, and to date, the centre has provided full-time online learning to over 2,500 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students.
“From farming families to high performance athletes, or students who might be looking for a different experience than a regular classroom, Sask DLC is providing students and families the flexibility they need to get a high-quality education right here at home in Saskatchewan,” Cockrill announced.
In addition to those 2,500 full time students, 4,300 part-time Grade 10-12 students are taking one or more courses, as well.
Sask DLC, which has 10 campuses across the province, also offers opportunities to adult learners. Currently, 190 adult learners are taking high school level courses to assist them with earning a high school diploma, upgrading, or earning a credit needed to enter post-secondary or the workforce.
For those wanting to hit the books during the summer months, the centre is offering online summer school for Saskatchewan students from July 2 – August 9 for $500 per course. Summer school registration will open in May.
