The Government of Saskatchewan’s Crown petroleum and natural gas public offering, held on Tuesday, raised just over $15.4 million in revenue for the province.
The Estevan region acquired the most revenue, bringing in almost $13.8 million for 84 leases and two exploration licenses covering 9,797 hectares.
In second place was the Lloydminster area, which brought in just over $1.4 million from bids on 32 leases totaling 4,841 hectares.
Of the 147 parcels posted for this sale, 123 parcels received acceptable bids.
The next scheduled date for a public offering in Saskatchewan is June 4, 2024.
