A 24-year-old man from White Bear First Nation is facing five charges following an attempted armed robbery in Regina.

On Friday at 2:39 PM, police were dispatched to a robbery in progress complaint involving a firearm occurring at a business in the 1300 block of Broadway Avenue. It was reported a man entered the business, was in possession of items from the business, and produced what appeared to be a firearm to an employee.

The male left the business without the items.

Police found the man in the immediate area and arrested him without incident. He was in possession of a firearm.

Blaise Kaiswatum will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday.
