The Government of Saskatchewan, partnering with the federal government and including contributions from local governments, are going to replace or upgrade a dozen bridges and culverts in the province.
Projects include bridge replacements in the RM of Star City near Melfort where more than $160 thousand has been set aside to replace the Dancey Bridge. Almost $144-thousand has been set aside for the RM of Meota for a bridge replacement and culvert installations. In total there will be more than $8.2 million dedicated to the infrastructure upgrades.
The federal government is investing more than $1.3 million, the provincial government is alloting over $2.7 million while the rural municipalities, at more than $4.1 million, bear the majority of the cost.
