Road crews from the City of Saskatoon are de-icing bridge decks, ramps and intersections following recent weather conditions.
High-speed roads such as Circle Drive and freeways are also being de-iced. Several sanders were on the go throughout the night and 14 sanders continue to work today. Because the city only received 2 centimetres m of snow, this is not considered a snow event as that takes 5 centimetres of snow or more.
The City reminds drivers to slow down as conditions may be slippery, and to also watch for blue and amber flashing lights on road maintenance equipment and leave room for the operators to do their work safely.
