The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a roof fire that was deemed suspicious.
At 9:57 a.m. Friday morning, the Saskatoon Fire Department received a report of a fire on the roof of a commercial building in the 200 Block of 2nd Avenue South.
First responding crews reported seeing light smoke coming from the structure, and flames were reported showing on the roof of the building.
Fire crews extinguished a small fire on the roof of the structure, and Incident Command gave the order to reopen the street at 10:24am.
A SFD Fire Investigator and a Police Arson Investigator were both asked to attend the scene as the fire is deemed suspicious. Damage has been estimated at $10,000, and no one was injured as a result.
