The Trans-Canada Highway near Sintaluta has been re-opened following Thursday’s late afternoon two-vehicle collision between a truck and a multi-passenger van. One adult and eight youth from the Broadview detachment area were in the van with all transported to hospital with injuries described as being either severe or non-life threatening. The lone adult male driver of the truck, from Manitoba, was airlifted to hospital by STARS with no information as to his injuries. The specific details and circumstances of the collision, which happened around 4 p.m. on October 12th, have yet to be released and are currently being investigated by Indian Head RCMP and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
