Eleven communities across the province are to receive provincial funding for rebuilding culverts and bridges.
Nearly $4.9 million in provincial grants from the Rural Integrated Roads for Growth program will be used to repair 14 bridges and large culverts, and when combined with municipal funding, the estimated value of the projects is over $12.3 million.
Highways Minister Lori Carr says four years ago, Saskatchewan pledged to rebuild 100 bridges over four years. With this most recent announcement, 105 bridges will have been rebuilt or replaced.
