In recognition of their contributions to health science, two researchers from the University of Saskatchewan have received Canadian Academy of Health Science fellowships.
With this opportunity, Dr. Alan Rosenburg, a professor of rheumatology, and Dr. Nazeem Muhajarine, professor of community health and epidemiology, are now able to advise on issues relevant to the general public, as well as assist both the private and public sectors with policy, practice, and investment decisions.
Dr. Rosenburg says he will utilize this platform to alter the progression of disease modelling. He says there needs to be more focus on preventative measures as opposed to post-diagnosis treatment.
Dr. Muhajarine says he is eager to collaborate with a variety of colleagues and have another channel to reach audiences for his research.
