The Saskatoon Fire Department has responded to two structure fires, one in the 300 Block of 31st Street West and the other in the 600 Block of Spadina Crescent East. At 1:24am Sunday morning, the SFD received a call for a report of a house on fire on 31 Street West. On arrival, fire crews reported smoke coming from the rear of a home, which had been evacuated at the point of SFD’s arrival. The fire was coming from the basement and was brought under control shortly after. The scene was handed over to a fire investigator to determine the cause and origin of the blaze, neither of which have been determined yet.
