A Saskatoon citizen has been arrested after allegedly confronting and assaulting a police officer on Wednesday.
At 12:55 p.m., a member of the Bike Unit was responding to a call in the 100 block of Avenue D North and were approached by a verbally and physically aggressive person in the area of Avenue D and 22nd Street West. Police say this person was not involved in the initial call for service that the officer was responding to.
As the person continued coming towards the officer, a struggle began, causing the police bike to fall over and the officer to suffer a minor injury.
As a result, the 38-year-old person has been charged with assaulting a police officer.
