Eight provinces saw higher inflation in July compared to June, but Saskatchewan was not one of them. Statistics Canada cites that Saskatchewan’s Consumer Price Index rose 3.3 per cent in June and 3 per cent in July.
Overall, Canada saw a higher inflation last month compared to the previous month with June’s rate at 2.8 per cent, followed by 3.3 in July. Some economists believe this could mean another interest rate hike from the Bank of Canada next month.
