A Regina man has been arrested and is facing charges after police found a weapon in his backpack.
On Friday, at 10:35pm, Regina police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Badham Boulevard after a report of a suspicious person in the area.
Upon arrival, police found the man, and located a shotgun in his backpack. He was arrested without incident.
Thirty-six-year-old Bruce Lynn Beadle is facing three weapons-related charges and will make his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday, August 8.
Beadles charges include:
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
