Food Day Canada Website
Several provinces have been celebrating Food Day Canada for many years already, and for the day’s 20th anniversary, Saskatchewan is following suit.
Food Day Canada acknowledges the farmers, ranchers, processors, chefs, food researchers, and home cooks that work hard to provide food for their country.
Saskatchewan citizens play a huge role in providing the world with high-quality food ingredients. In 2022, $18.5 billion in agri-food products were exported by Saskatchewan. Over 571,040 metric tonnes of cheese were produced, along with 65.9 million litres of maple syrup.
Agriculture in the Classroom, Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan, and 4H Saskatchewan all provide ways for people in the province to connect with the food they eat and how it is grown and produced.
To get involved, people can try a new recipe, go to a favourite restaurant, and post pictures of your food online with the hashtag Food Day Canada.
