Several modifications have been completed on Clarence and Main Street following a traffic review.
For example, right turn only lanes for drivers on Main Street at Clarence Avenue were added. Drivers on Main Street are now required to turn right at the intersection and are no longer able to drive straight through or turn left onto Clarence Avenue.
Also, a pedestrian signal was added on the South side of Clarence Avenue to allow crossings on both the North and South side of the intersection, and there are now cyclist push buttons on Main Street to activate the pedestrian signals.
The City of Saskatoon completed the traffic review at this intersection last year after several Nutana and Varsity View residents had concerns about safety.
