Wednesday at 11:55am, Pierceland RCMP received a report of an armed man on Highway #55, east of Pierceland.

Through investigation, it was determined that a person stopped their vehicle on the side of said highway, when a man came up to their vehicle and threatened them with a firearm. The suspect had just been driving a green tractor hauling hay bales.

The individual got back into their car, drove to safety and called the police. Police say no physical injuries were reported.

Pierceland RCMP immediately began patrols for the suspect. The investigation continues and Pierceland RCMP are asking all members of the public to report any known information on the incident to them.
The man in question is described as older, with a heavy build and balding white hair. Police say he was wearing a black cowboy hat, a blue plaid shirt, brown suspenders, black boots and wire-framed glasses.
