Saskatoon Police have arrested two men in connection to a drive-by shooting that took place in 2022.
A 15-year-old girl was shot while walking with her family around 1:30 a.m. on November 18th, 2022. The shooting took place near the intersection of 20th Street West and Avenue Q south. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
On July 12th investigators arrested a 34-year-old man at a correctional facility in Prince Albert. He was remanded on charges unrelated to the shooting at the time of his arrest.
A week later RCMP located a 28-year-old man wanted on a warrant in connection to the shooting and he was arrested without incident. Both men have been charged with aggravated assault, attempted murder, unlawful transport of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of a firearm without a license, and unlawfully occupying a motor vehicle in which a firearm was present. The 34-year-old is also charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Police had circulated photos of the suspect vehicle which was a white car with multiple people inside when it pulled up and one of the occupants inside the car shot the girl.
