Every year, the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival recognizes musicians that made contributions to the province’s music culture with the Special Recognition Award.
This years’ winner is Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra. The SJO has created opportunities for much of Saskatchewan’s established and new emerging jazz talent.
Every year, the SJO has partnered with the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, often presenting some of the SJO’s biggest and most artistically audacious projects, including performing in special celebration concerts commemorating the festival’s 25th, 30th and 35th anniversaries.
