Esterhazy RCMP located a man dead inside a rural home and say it is being investigated as a homicide.

The call came in to do a wellness check on Sunday in the Esterhazy northeast detachment area.

Investigators are working to identify the victim. They also say they do not believe this suspicious death is connected with a February 2023 homicide in the Stockholm/Esterhazy area, and do not believe there is an increased risk to public safety.
