Changes will be made to Saskatoon voting boundaries for next year’s municipal and school boards’ elections.
Two wards are currently outside the allowable 10 per cent population variance. The Ward Boundary Commission will draw up new boundaries for Wards 2 and 7.
Changing ward boundaries to ensure all ten wards comply with the population variance could potentially impact several areas of the city as well.
A three person Commission will present three options for public feedback in Committee Room E at City Hall from 7:30 to 9 o’clock on Tuesday evening. (June 20) It will be the first of two planned meetings with the other one being held in September.
Ward boundary reviews must be complete no less than 180 days before the municipal election scheduled for November of 2024.
