Two North Battleford men were arrested after the city’s Gang Task Force located a stolen Bobcat skid steer on their property.
Once on April 24th and again on May 11th, police responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle from two businesses in North Battleford. Although the thefts did not appear related, both vehicles were found on May 12 at a residence in the 1000 block of 110 Street. On May 18th, North Battleford RCMP received a call about a stolen Bobcat skid steer. On June 7th, members of the North Battleford Gang Task Force, Municipal General Investigation Section, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team, and the North Battleford Provincial General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at the same residence where the two previously stolen vehicles were found. Police say the Bobcat was located, as well as several over pieces of commercial grade equipment.
Forty-three-year-old Kyle Mccaw and 47-year-old Trevor Swindler were both arrested in connection to all thefts related to the location. They both remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 12th. Mccaw was charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 for the purpose of trafficking, and Possession of a weapon contrary to an order. Swindler was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and failure to comply with an undertaking.
