Over $9.3 million was raised for the province through the Government of Saskatchewan’s Crown petroleum and natural gas public offering.
The offering was held on Tuesday. Eighty-eight of the 100 parcels received acceptable bids, covering a total of 19,094 hectares of land. The most interest was generated by Estevan, securing just over $4 million for 52 leases. The second most popular area was Kindersley, with 10 leases selling for almost $3.7 million. This is the second of six public offerings scheduled for the fiscal year, and the total revenue the province has received so far is $20,494,130. The next public offering is coming up on August 8th, 2023.
