Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has an update to the suspicious death in the Prince Albert area. On Sunday afternoon, Prince Albert RCMP conducted a welfare check on a man at a home on Oxbow Street, just west of the city. A man was found dead inside, and police determine his death suspicious. A second man was arrested at the scene.
Police have now identified the victim as 78-year-old Frank Lund from Prince Albert. His family has been notified. Forty-year-old Justin Madden, also from Prince Albert, is charged with second degree murder. RCMP say the victim and the accused are known to each other and investigators don’t believe there are other suspects.

On Sunday around 2:30 p.m., RCMP were called to do a welfare check on a man at a home on Oxbow Street just west of Prince albert.
A deceased man was found inside the residence and his death was determined to be suspicious in nature.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is working with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to conclusively identify the deceased. An autopsy is taking place to determine his cause of death.
A second adult male was arrested at the scene. There is no word yet on charges being laid. Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
