With the cooler temperatures and increased amount of rain the province is getting, the number of wildfires burning around Saskatchewan is now 19, however only one is contained. There are five not contained, 10 under ongoing assessment, and three where the focus is to protect valuable property in the area. There are no air quality statements anywhere in the province. In contrast, there are still 50 wildfires burning in Alberta, with 23 of them being under control. Fourteen are out of control, and 13 are being held.
