A third man has now been charged in connection to the homicides of two Saskatoon men 14 years ago.
On New Years Day in 2009, Saskatoon Police responded to the 300 block of Avenue T South after the report that two men had been stabbed. Officers located 24-year-old Spencer Whiteman upon arrival, and after suffering from life-threatening injuries, died from his injuries. The other man who was stabbed survived. Ten months later, on November 16th, 2009, police responded to a report of another stabbing in the 400 block of Avenue H. Thirty-three-year-old Morgan Doucette did not survive the injury. Two men have already been charged in connection to the crime, and now a third man is facing charges of two counts of first-degree murder. He was 18 years old at the time of the first incident, 19-years-old at the time of the second, and the now-32-year-old made his first court appearance Thursday evening.
