Saskatchewan RCMP have released a second public safety advisory regarding a man who has been released from prison and is of high risk to offend again.
Fifty-three-year-old Frederick Chickosis was released last Friday after serving his entire sentence for several violent sexual offences. He was under a court order and given several conditions, including that he must not live anywhere other than his approved residence in North Battleford. On the same day of his release, Chickosis was found to be living in Lloydminister, and was arrested on Monday.
After appearing in North Battleford Provincial Court Thursday, Chickosis was released and now plans to reside in Lloydminster. He is under a probation order for the next year and must follow several conditions.
- He must live at an approved residence;
- He must stay inside the approved residence from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.;
- He must not possess or consume alcohol, cannabis or drugs that have not been prescribed by a medical doctor;
- He must not enter or be in any place of which the main purpose is to sell alcohol, such as bars or liquor stores; and
- He must have no contact or communication with anyone under the age of 16
The RCMP remind that this information is not to be used to carry out harmful acts against the man, but to raise awareness on the possible high-risk offender in the community.
