Correctional Service Canada says an inmate has died in custody at the Regional Psychiatric Centre in Saskatoon.
The inmate has been identified as Tommy Veevee.
Veevee had been serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assaults. He has been in the custody of Correctional Service Canada since 1998.
The circumstances surrounding his death are being reviewed by Correctional Service Canada. The police and coroner have also been notified.
