Update: RCMP sent an advisory around 5:30 p.m. Sunday that Highway 16 had reopened west of Elstow. There is no word on casualties.

Saskatoon RCMP are advising people travelling east of Saskatoon on Highway 16 to be prepared for a detour and possible delay.
RCMP responded to a serious collision between and train and a vehicle around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
The accident occurred just west of Elstow which is about 55 kilometres east of Saskatoon. The local fire department assisted with traffic.
STARS Air Ambulance was also dispatched for a call to a scene in the Elstow area Sunday morning.
