The Regina Police Service investigation continues for a fatal accident on Ring Road Wednesday afternoon. In a news release, police say that officers were dispatched to Ring Road between Wascana Parkway and Albert Street. The preliminary investigation from police suggests a Taurus heading west on Ring Road approach the Albert Street exit when through the ditch between the west and eastbound lanes and hit an eastbound truck. The force of the collision sent the truck into the ditch.

When officers arrived, they witnessed citizens attending to an 18 year old woman lying on the ground, who appeared to be the driver of the Taurus. She was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. A black Ford Truck was in the ditch near a fallen light standard. The driver was trapped inside, but then officers learned, and it was confirmed by EMS, that he was dead. There was also a Honda SUV in the ditch between the eastbound and westbound lanes but no one was physically injured.
