If you see a flare near the Nutrien Allan Potash Mine just north of the Town of Allan, its SaskEnergy conducting a natural gas flare.
It is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. today (tues).
Residents and drivers in the area may see a 40-foot flame being emitted from the flare stack temporarily attached to SaskEnergy’s infrastructure.
The flaring is necessary to perform maintenance work on the natural gas line system in the area .
The area around the flare will be supervised to ensure public safety. Residential natural gas service in the area will not be affected.
