Tyson Ringdal is one of 16 finalists for the mentorship program initiated by the Canadian Cattle Association.
Tyson is involved in the family beef herd with his parents and brother. There are 400 cows and a small feedlot operation. He received his post-secondary education at Lakeland College in Vermillion, Alberta where he earned a diploma in animal science.
The CYL Mentorship program has had more than 160 participants since it was established in 2010.
Tyson and 15 other finalists from across the country will each receive a $2,000 budget to put towards beef industry travel and learning opportunities of their choice. They will also be paired with a hand-picked industry leader for a nine-month mentorship in their specific area of interest.
