They decided to start about two months earlier than usual and the Saskatchewan Roughriders are essentially telling their fans that they can, “beat the P-S-T” by buying early bird season-ticket packages for the 2023 season before the provincial sales tax increases to six per cent on October 1.
The Green and White are also reducing ticket prices on about 2,700 seats, are adding additional sections of Mosaic Stadium stands for Family Ticket Packages and freezing the 2022 prices on the remaining seats in the ballyard. Current Rider season ticket holders and M-V-P Plan members will start getting renewal emails from the team this week. Fans who want to become new season ticket holders before the P-S-T increase will be able to so as of August 17. One other ticketing initiative for 2023 Roughriders’ home games will be the expansion of the $99.00 single game family package. A family of four, two adults and two children, will be able to attend all nine home games at a starting price of $1,089.
Meanwhile, the Green and White were back on the field Wednesday, getting ready to visit Edmonton Saturday. A couple of personnel notes, one was that Jake Harty was working in Mitch Picton’s receiver spot on offence during the practice while the Riders released import running back Shaq Cooper and Canadian defensive back Malcolm Lee before hitting the Mosaic Stadium turf. Following is the news release on 2023 season tickets from the Roughriders…..

ROUGHRIDERS ANNOUNCE 2023 TICKET PRICING, LAUNCH SEASON TICKET RENEWALS
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce new ticket pricing in Mosaic Stadium for the 2023 season.
The Club is reducing ticket prices on roughly 2,700 seats, adding additional eligible sections for the popular Family Ticket Packages, and freezing the 2022 prices on the balance of seats.
“Our family ticket packages have been incredibly successful this season and we have received a lot of positive feedback from Rider Nation about how we’ve made games more affordable and fun for families,” said Chief Brand Officer Anthony Partipilo. “We know with inflation and the price of gas, the financial demands on Rider Nation are greater than ever, and we hope these changes will continue to make Mosaic Stadium accessible for more people to take in our Green and White.”
Roughrider Season Ticket Holders and MVP Plan members will begin receiving renewal emails this week. The Club is launching two months earlier than normal to allow purchasers to save the new six (6%) percent PST increase going into effect on October 1st.
For Roughrider families who love our $99 single game family packages, the Club will also launch new Family Season Ticket Packages. A family of four (two adults and two children) can attend every home game of the 2023 Season starting at $1089.
Fans who wish to become new season ticket holders before the PST increase will be able to begin purchasing season tickets on August 17th.
