Fire Chief Bill McCombs with the Langham Fire Department is asking for a show of respect after someone went inside the house which was on fire and connected to the shooting incident last Friday.
He says they know someone was inside because they took a picture and posted it to social media.
Chief McCombs says the matter is still under investigation, the structure isn’t safe and it’s contaminated.
There are now cameras on site and the Fire Chief warns that trespassing laws apply, as well, anyone removing any items may be charged with theft.
Early Friday morning, Warman RCMP were told of a person uttering threats and while responding, officers were then alerted about a shooting outside a home on Kyle Street in Langham, and a house on fire on the same street.
After the fire was put out, officers were able to enter and around 11:40 a.m., a man was found dead inside and at noon the dangerous person alert was cancelled. RCMP confirmed Monday that person was 46 year old Justin Heimbecker of Langham who was a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 38 year old man earlier in the day.
